KBL asked Westech to assist in the reinstallation of a CIL Plant at their Mineral Hill mine in Central NSW. Westech developed a 2 phase approach to the build – Preparatory work and the Construction.

During the Preparatory phase Westech worked closely with the Board of Directors to examine the feasibility of the installation considering the suitability of the existing infrastructure and equipment, the benefits to the existing process and the costs of the installation.

Westech submitted a tender to KBL for the EPCM after the completion of project financing. Westech won the open tender at a lower price and quicker delivery.

The Second Phase, currently underway, is the construction phase. Westech is responsible for all material aspects of the build on an EPCM basis. Westech is engineering, procuring and managing the construction of the state of the art CIL plant to treat oxide ores and produce gold and silver dore.

The circuit consists of 9 leach tanks, an innovative cyanide storage and handling system developed by Westech, elution and carbon regeneration circuit, INCO type cyanide destruct circuit and a complete gold room.

The Second Phase is ongoing with completion targeted for October 2015.
